Are you a 6th or 7th grader, or the parent of one? Are you ready to take the step of confirmation? To be "confirmed" means that a.) you are ready to say that it's your own choice to be a Christian, not Mom or Dad's decision for you, b.) you're ready for the rest of us to know that, and c.) you're ready to be an active part of the church, not receiving our ministry to you, but also finding ways to serve and give to us. If you're interested in confirmation or have any questions about it, let Pastor Chris know by the end the January - crshearercpc@gmail.com.

On Saturday, February 8 CPC will have a clean-up day for our "adopted" road, Rt. 299 between Rt. 15 and the town limits of Culpeper.  We will meet in the fellowship hall at 8:30 to organize teams, review safety procedures, and distribute vests and equipment. Anticipated clean-up time is 9-11:00.  All participants should wear bright colors, bring work gloves, and wear comfortable working shoes. Please call the church office to let them know that you will be joining our clean-up crew on February 8.

Our church will be volunteering help at the Winter Heat Shelter from Sunday, February 23rd through Saturday February 29th, providing and serving meals, and chaperoning overnight. Contact Russ McFalls if you’d like to help. The Shelter operates in the basement level of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 1200 Old Rixeyville Rd, Culpeper, VA 22701.

In cooperation with the Culpeper Winter Heat Shelter, Reformation Lutheran Church is operating a "Day Shelter" to provide a warm, safe place for the guests of the Winter Heat Shelter to spend the day.  The Day Shelter will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. during the winter months.  To make this program successful they need chaperones for 3- or 3.5-hour shifts.  For more information or to volunteer contact Chuck Duncan by phone or email. Call our office for his phone number or email address. Thank you to Reformation Lutheran for opening their doors to those in need. Please consider supporting them by offering a little of your time in this way.

Feb. 23rd through Feb. 29th.
